CoverCrow provides an online platform that connects court reporters and other legal service providers with individuals and agencies that want to hire a court reporter or other legal service provider (“Consumer Clients,” Agencies”)

Personal information may be collected from those who access our website or mobile apps (“online services”) to use our services. To ensure quality of service, there is certain information we may require, such as your name, surname, username, email address, mailing address, phone number, photo (should you choose to provide it), and other PII when you sign up for the Services. Depending on the service we provide, for payment purposes, we may also collect information about your credit card or bank account. The Services facilitate communication between Legal Service Providers and Consumer Clients (Agencies and Attorneys). In connection with facilitating these communications, we may receive call or SMS message data, including the date and time of the call or SMS message, the parties’ phone numbers, and the content of the SMS message. We use this information solely for the purpose of facilitating such communications.Generally, your providing of your personal information is voluntary. However, there may be situations where your providing of personal information is necessary to provide a service or is required by law. Please note that in certain cases, we may be unable to provide you with our services unless you provide the information. Other Ways We Collect User Information
CoverCrow may collect anonymous information from visits to our sites through the use of “web beacons,” which do not access your personal information, but rather allow us to count users who have visited our website. This anonymous information is sometimes known as “clickstream data.” CoverCrow may use this data to analyze trends and statistics to help us provide better customer service. It is your responsibility to keep your records with CoverCrow updated by notifying us by email at the address in this policy. We will do our best to respond to allreasonable requests to update your data in a timely manner. Keeping Information Secure
CoverCrow realizes the importance of safeguarding personal information and has in place appropriate procedures to help ensure limited access to personally identifiable information. CoverCrow uses reasonable security measures to maintain the security of the personally identifiable information we may collect and process. We implement a variety of security measures when a user enters, submits, or accesses their information to maintain the safety of your personal information. We may use encryption, firewalls, password protection, and physical lock and key to help prevent unauthorized access to your personally identifiable information. Our website is scanned ona regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make your visit to our site as safe as possible. We use regular Malware Scanning.

California Online Privacy Protection Act
CalOPPA is the first state law in the nation to require commercial websites and online services to post a privacy policy. The law’s reach stretches well beyond California to require any person or company in the United States (and conceivably the world) that operates websites collecting Personally Identifiable Information from California consumers to post a conspicuous privacy policy on its website stating exactly the information being collected and those individuals or companies with whom it is being shared
According to CalOPPA, we agree to the following:
- Users can visit our site anonymously
- Once this privacy policy is created, we will add a link to it on our home page, or as a minimum, on the first significant page after entering our website
- Our Privacy Policy link includes the word ‘Privacy’ and can easily be found on the page specified above

We do not specifically market to children under the age of 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received Personal Information from a child under the age of 13, we will delete such information from our records.

The Fair Information Practices Principles form the backbone of privacy law in the United States and the concepts they include have played a significant role in the development of data protection laws around the globe.
